Technical Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE

• Responsible for the delivery of Project Management Services in support of Technical Programmes and responsible for the project management of all phases of IT projects within KSA in support of the business community.

1. Evaluate projects and ideas that are allocated according to the priorities set by management. 2. Work on the detailed design of the preparation of the proposed solution or product. 3. Manages resources task assignments, cost and budget allocation. 4. Manages all tasks and their restrictions (quality cost and time) and that all projects are properly managed. 5. Finds the most efficient alternatives in the development of projects using internal and external resources and presents them to the management team. 6. Negotiates with external suppliers to ensure that all materials needed for the projects are at the right time.
2. Manages project quality as defined by performance standards. 8. Coordinates testing activities 9. Manages required licensing for products 10. Ensures that the process of development area goes hand in hand with design. 11. Works accordingly with the operational area, administration and sales. 12. Prepares need assessment for prospective customers 13. Manages the calendar of proposed projects 14. Ensures deadline management that the projects will conclude. 15. Maintains constant communication with management regarding project development and new ideas for future projects. 16. Supervises and assigns tasks to the project to his staff 17. Coordinates and attends meetings with management and subordinates in order to coordinate activities to improve working methods and procedures 18. Analyzes and resolves problems that arise in the project and defines susceptible issues that should be changed and offers solutions.
3. Experience in the field of project management through the full project life cycle

1. To implement recognised project management methodologies, tools and techniques required for the delivery of new and improved IT services, on time, to cost and to the desired quality.
2. To prepare investment cases and proposals for the introduction of new information technology in line with developing business requirements.
3. To establish detailed functional requirements with the customers either internally or for vendors in the form of a ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP).
4. To project manage the delivery of first class IT services to customers in the Middle East in line with developing business requirements, using both internal and external resources as appropriate.
5. To establish effective working relationships between the Operations, other departments and vendors with the aim of agreeing direction and priorities for future technical projects.
6. Responsible for developing the skill sets of technical staff in the use of primary project management techniques and in ensuring that these techniques are used in a consistent manner.
7. To identify, justify and deliver improvements to the tools used to support Customer engagement.
8. The main criteria of the post. Responsible for the planning, scheduling and resourcing of projects in line with the declared priorities.
9. Highlight reports will be prepared in support of project management activities. These will be provided as regular or ad-hoc reports, summaries or presentations and will be generated to support departmental and business requirements.
10. The jobholder will be responsible for the project management of all phases of IT projects within KSA in support of the business community.
