Required Oracle Database Administrator

As an Oracle DBA, you will use your skills and experience to manage and optimize our databases, and bring your groundbreaking thinking and visionary approach to our high performance team. Experience with Oracle 11G, Oracle RAC and Golden Gate setups is highly preferred! As an Oracle DBA you will be responsible for 1. Installing and upgrading Oracle 11g servers and application tools 2. Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system 3. Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application 4. Creating primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application 5. Modifying and Optimizing the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers 6. Enrolling users and maintaining system security 7. Ensuring compliance with our Oracle license agreement 8. Controlling and monitoring user access to the database 9. Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database 10. Planning for backup and recovery of database information 11. Maintaining archived data 12. Backing up and restoring the database 13. Contacting Oracle for technical support and working with them to solve problems quickly and efficiently 14. Creating Linux shell scripts and cron jobs to schedule various types of jobs. 15. Be capable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing them efficiently. 16. Ready to travel as and when necessary, and not worry about hours. This is not a typical 9 to 5 job. Our Requirements 1. Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university or related field or equivalent military or industry experience 2. Advanced degree from a reputable university or related field or equivalent military or industry experience 3. Oracle Certification 4. Minimum 3 year+ experience working as an Oracle DBA 5. Advanced knowledge of Oracle 11G, RAC 6. Experience with Golden Gate setups preferred 7. Experience performing in a fast-paced environment 8. Self-Learning, motivated, and disciplined attitude 9.
