 If you have experience with Oracle 11g i.e. they currently manage or have managed an Oracle 11g database. In addition if you have experience with Oracle RAC(Real Application Cluster) or Golden Gate setups that is a major plus.

Also your daily responsibilities will include:-

• Installing and upgrading Oracle 11g servers and application tools
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
• Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application
• Creating primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application
• Modifying and Optimizing the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
• Enrolling users and maintaining system security
• Ensuring compliance with our Oracle license agreement
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
• Planning for backup and recovery of database information
• Maintaining archived data
• Backing up and restoring the database
• Contacting Oracle for technical support and working with them to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Creating Linux shell scripts and cron jobs to schedule various types of jobs.
