Java/ CQ5 Developer

Our team builds The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Canberra Times, Domain, Stuff.co.nz mobile apps and many more.
Due to continued growth and new projects, we are looking for a number of highly skilled CQ/Java Developers to join us on a 1 or 2 year fixed term contract with the view to extend based on business requirements.
Skills Required:
- 3+ years development commercial experience using Java/JEE or Adobe CQ5
- Experience with Java 5 or above, Agile Software Development methodology, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, object-oriented development, design patterns, automated testing and Test-Driven Development is essential
- A strong working knowledge of web services, in particular restful web services
- Experience with AJAX-enabling JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS and Knockout JS desirable
- Experience with high volume web sites and demonstrable knowledge of optimising websites for performance
- Ability to develop web applications supportingcommon browsers
- Exposure to SEO and tools such as Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Google Page speed
- It will be helpful if you have experience with Maven, Git, Bamboo (or Jenkins/Hudson or similar), Apache Sling, OSGI Bundles, Linux, UML, or the online media/publishing industry
