Position Responsibilities
Sr. Software Engineer (Product Development)
The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for a demanding and rewarding variety of duties related to the development, enhancement and delivery of many industry-leading web-based/Mobile enterprise software systems. If you are the person destined for this position, you have a combination of deep experience with .Net and JavaScript, experience with databases and data-driven application systems, a history of working successfully in small creative & innovative software teams, and a flexible, upbeat approach to working with colleagues.
Experience: Three to five years of hands on experience in Application Software Development
Position Responsibilities:
- Should be a good team player - willing to work as part of team as well as individual contributor
- Develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
- Understand how our applications operate, are structured/integrated/deployed, and how customers use them
- Proficiency in developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows
- Provide engineering support (when necessary) to our technical operations staff when they are building, deploying, configuring and supporting systems for customers
- Participate with the engineering and operations teams to define plans for standardizing, scaling and enhancing our products and the services utilized to deploy/install/release those products
- Participate in interactions with customers as a technical expert for product subsystems
- Investigate, analyse and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications
- Other duties from time to time as determined by management
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
- Having excellent programming skills and problem solving skills
- Should be a quick learner
- Should be flexible to work (or willing to learn) with new technologies
- Should have hands on with .Net and Microsoft based technologies
- Having exposure to Web based technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, JQuery
- Having experience in writing Multithreaded Applications
- Having knowledge of Windows command line scripting (PowerShell) is a plus
- Having good exposure NodeJS will be a plus
- Experience with UI based technologies like AngularJS will be a plus
- Experience with Agile software development is a plus
