Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer 1 in Test who is interested in joining the Communications Cloud Team. In this role, you will work together with a group of talented software developers, testers, architects to ensure International quality of Citrix products. As a Senior Software developer in Test on the Communications Cloud team, you will be responsible for the delivery of an Enterprise Class automation system that can help move quality upstream in an software engineering process. One of your core responsibilities will be to mentor the junior members in the team and help achieve the group’s goals. You will be working with a wide variety of technology covering windows and mobile app development.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Enable Citrix software to be tested frequently, quickly and automatically. This would entail designing, implementing, executing, and debugging automated test tools using Core Java & some proprietary frameworks.
- Experienced in understanding and contributing to designing the complex Test frameworks incorporating the Communications Cloud Team considerations.Has demonstrated the design and execution of successful test automation projects in the past.
- Has an experience in testing the complex software in the past.
- In addition to hands-on technical development activities, provides guidance in the analysis and conceptual design of proposed projects. Participates in determining feasibility of proposed projects and the overall plan for implementation. Operates as Subject Matter Expert and/or owner of moderate-complex software modules.
- Reviews progress and evaluates results of assigned technical projects and process against conformance to plans and specifications making recommendations based on the results. Documents accordingly. Teams up well with the Communications Cloud Team test execution team to deliver high value. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other departments on technical matters.
- Understands and evangelizes the nuances of Communications Cloud Team technical architecture of a Citrix product. Keeps technically abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements into the overall process and anticipating their application in future projects
Qualifications and Requirements
Your daily tasks will include:
- Analyzing Communications Cloud Team test automation requirements and contribute to automation framework design.
- Designing and implementing code to build/modify a world-class test automation system.
- Bring in positive influence to the test project teams and ensure the execution of scripts to help deliver the automation ROI.
- Exploring product quality issues and triaging automated test runs.
- Mentoring junior members in the team to help them scale-up.
- Liaising with product teams and quickly grasp their automation framework.
- Own Communications Cloud Team test automation deliverablestechnical stand-point.
- Actively help Communications Cloud Team Services team meet its strategic goals.
- Release management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent in computer science or related field is required 5+ years of directly related work experience preferred. Knowledge of windows mobile development technologies is must.
- Good experience in Windows 8 Metro apps & Win RT platform.
- Strong experience in developing automation framework and test scripts using Java. Nice to have C# skills as well.
- Strong knowledge in software engineering process.
- Good experience in mobile app & UI automation development.
- Familiarity with Maven, TestNG
- Demonstrated success as a tester and test automation engineer in the past.
- Flexibile to adapt to company’s needs and pick up new skills and contribute to any product.
