• The Associate Web Application Developer will be responsible for assisting with the development and support of new and existing Web portal systems and applications. The applicant will be responsible for the agile development of modular, open-source and communal software components as part of an international team of software developers.
• The work will include design and implementation of web applications, web services, data schemas and databases, and other applications and services. He/she will work with members of the developer and user community to design, construct, and test functionalities and modules.
• The ideal candidate will preferably be proficient in PHP Development, including custom core php development, working with php frameworks(codeigniter, laravel), the core API, content creation, Views and theming.

• Design new functional websites, including developing new custom functionality and themes
• Assist with maintaining existing sites, debugging and resolving issues, proposing and implementing new functionality

• 4 year degree in computer science or equivalent
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Comprehensive experience with PHP 5, MySQL 5, Apache 2
• Experience customizing and building functionality for Content Management Systems (Wordpress, Joomla, etc)
• experience building customer-facing web applications will be preferred
• Experience working with source control in a group environment
• Specific experience with Git & Github a plus
• Experience integrating API (e.g. exchanging data with) multiple systems
