Vera Solutions Hiring Developer

Position Overview: The Lead Developer will manage a growing development team in Mumbai to support the development of new pages, controllers, triggers, and applications built on or for use in conjunction with the force.com platform. Job Profile: Lead Developer Location: Mumbai, India Focus: Design and deliver web-, mobile-, and SMS-applications for social sector organizations around the world Supervisor: Country Director, India Term: Undefined Primary Responsibilities: • Lead the improvement and growth of Vera’s development team, including setting best practices/process, managing workloads, training, and assisting with recruitment • Work closely with Vera’s consultants to design, develop, test and implement best-in-class Force.com-based applications for a range of social service organizations worldwide • Interpret specifications and designs as provided, translating them into high quality and documented programs/applications within architected cloud guidelines • Manage Vera’s development task list, ensuring smooth task prioritization, allocation and completion • Define and inculcate best practice development methods and coding practices • Oversee growth planning, training and development of 4-5 Developers • Evaluate new tools and technologies that may be relevant to public health, education, poverty alleviation, and other international development organizations Requirements: • At least 1-2 years experience with Force.com; • At least 3 years experience with some combination of Java, HTML/.CSS, JavaScript, Apex, and web services (SOAP, RESTful APIs, etc); • At least 1-2 years managing developers/programmers; • Demonstrated success with non-programming aspects of development such as project and team management; an effective teacher and coach; • Able to perform independent code reviews • Excellent written and verbal communication and relational skills • Excellent organizational skills and passion for fine details • Diligent work ethic and proven ability to work with drive and enthusiasm • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple  Projects • Insatiable desire to expand skills and innovate to help build the capacity of others • Availability to work non-traditional hours as determined by clients in multiple time zones; • Interest in social service work or international development Fluent English Desired: • 3+ years of experience on Force.com; • 5+ years experience with some combination of Java, HTML/.CSS, JavaScript, and web services; • 3+ years experience managing developers/programmers; • Experience developing Android applications; • Experience in integrating with 3rd party systems; • Strong understanding of overall SFDC Architecture and landscape; • Substantial experience developing Visualforce pages, Apex classes and Triggers; • Fluent Hindi Compensation & Benefits: Vera Solutions offers competitive compensation (including benefits), commensurate with experience.
