MERCHANDISING   COMPANY PROFILE Allianz Exports (www.allianzexports.com) is in the business of leather garments for the last 10 years and is working with some of the renowned brands in UK and Europe. With a capacity of more than 20,000 garment per month, we have established our brand in sheep, goat, napa, vintage, rough, washed and classic leather garments.   JOB PROFILE The role of a merchant is one of the most wide-ranging retail careers in the fashion industry. It is creative because the merchant takes the product idea from a flat sketch to a competitive product; it is analytical because the merchant handles all the business aspects and ensures the highest quality and profitability for the company.   RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage product development: Suggest ideas to develop a product from a flat sketch to a competitive product by actively communicating with international buyers.
• Sampling: Procure competitively-priced raw materials for sample, understand buyer requirements and product detailings, ensure correct production and timely delivery of sample, and actively communicate with the buyer to avoid confusions and delays. Prepare cost sheets and suggest areas of cost savings to the senior management.
• Compliance: Ensure that the sample meets all testing and compliance requirements.
• Aid in inventory management: Create Bill of Material for each product style to ensure accurate and seamless procurement of raw materials, once the sample is approved.
• Drive the business: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan for business strategies in upcoming season by creating garments costings, negotiating margins, managing profitability and reacting to change while making strategic decisions based on current sales information.
• Spot trends: Closely follow latest fashion trends in the market.
• Present to senior leadership: Lead and contribute to presentations of selling analysis, style information, and trend ideas to keep teams updated on all business information.

• Work experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier fashion university
• Passion for the role and the fashion industry
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Desire to take initiative
• Strong presentation skills
• Proven leadership experience
