Job Description

Set of responsibilities at this post include anything and everything of the particular section of the school such as overall organization, systems, reporting, academic delivery, sports and co-curricular activities, discipline, pastoral care, budgeting, marketing etc. As an indicative list the responsibilities include but are not limited to:   A Principal:

  • Is directly responsible and accountable to the School Management;
  • Is key to implementation and realization of the School vision and ethos;
  • At all times ensure the safety of students- physical, mental and emotional.
  • Has to lead the team in implementing the strategies devised by management from time to time;
  • Has to lead by example and provide leadership, inspiration and motivation to the School community;
  • Shall be independent profit center head
  • Shall ensure that all quantitative and qualitative targets are achieved.
  • Maintain regular communication, link and cordial relations with the head office of TKB.
Academic and Pastoral
  • Keep abreast of latest research and pedagogical developments and suggest improvements/ innovations in teaching methodologies.
  • Organize the program of the School by allocating duties to teachers, classifying students and scheduling classes;
  • Monitor curriculum implementation and coverage;
  • Monitor the quality of teaching, student learning and achievement;
  • Ensure that assessment, recording and reporting takes place in accordance with the School policy. Effective implementation and use of the School ERP;
  • Ensure that the students receive a strong value based education;
  • Hold regular group meetings with class teachers on student progress in order to ensure timely intervention for students as needed;
  • Monitor the attendance of students in class/activities/sports and take corrective measures for those whose attendance is considered irregular;
  • Ensure the student’s discipline, appearance and conduct as a reflection of the School ethos;
  • Attend department meetings and participate in periodic curriculum and syllabus review;
  • Keeping apprised of new studies, developments, techniques, teaching resources and pedagogies in Early Childhood Care and Early Childhood Education
