Position : Medical Analyst Qualification : MBBS FRESHER Industry : Healthcare Job Location: Mumbai location -- Airoli Position Overview: A medical analyst is intended to review the medical records of a patient and screen themedical chart based on Medicare guidelines (using tools like Interqual and Milliman) to determine if the patients presenting medical condition is eligible for an inpatient admission versus and observational care. Roles and responsibilities: Selecting the patient chart with the highest priority in regards to the time spent in the queue Reviewing and screening the patient chart on the basis on medicare guidelines (Milliman and InterQual tools) Based on the criteria points reviewed and collated determining the level of care and intensity of services Saving the case and submitting the determination of the patient chart Experience, Knowledge, Skills/competencies required: • Years of relevant/domain experience: At least one - two years of experience working in a clinical / emergency room setting • Specific skills needed to perform 1. Excellent medical knowledge with regards to emergency medicine 2. Good typing and skills and basic excel skills 3. Understanding the emergency room medical records including the handwritten notes by the physicians.
