Job Description

Director of Administrator Job Description Job Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management • Support the leadership of IJMK and provide strategic input and direction; • Represent IJMK in strategic meetings and forums; • Serve as first responder for employee issues and performance management along with the FOD; • Manage the Administration department to successfully achieve department goals and objectives; • Lead the Business Administration team to ensure efficient functioning of systems in the office; • Support IJMK to achieve casework targets; • Co-manage IJMK Interns and Fellows program; and • Lead and serve as a complainant or witness when needed during rescue operations for victims and arrest for perpetrators. Administration • Develop and maintain systems and policies to ensure that IJM’s values are upheld; • Oversee the maintenance of office equipment and the daily operations of the office. • Ensure compliance with all internal financial policies, government regulations, accounting procedures and other restrictions; • Maintain electronic and paper employee files in accordance with office regulations and provide information for annual audits; • Maintain statistics regarding employee changes; • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment for India based employees; • Host important trips and visitors to IJM Kolkata; and • Manage employee safety and welfare along with the IJMK Security Team. Human Resource Management • Lead recruitment efforts for necessary hiring needs; • Support the FOD in assessing transitions and promotions; • Manage trainings aimed at capacity and leadership development; • Support efforts towards employee satisfaction and staff retention; • Ensure successful onboarding and exit for employees; • Assist with salary surveys and compensation; and • Lead the office Staff Care program and serve as the Chief Staff Care Officer. Required Skills and Experience • Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resource; • Minimum three years’ of leadership experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced, professional environment; • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook; • Exceptional ability in written and oral communication in English, and ability to communicate in Bengali; • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; • Demonstrated knowledge of India labor laws; • Proven ability to identify and independently solve complex problems; and • Demonstrated ability to earn and maintain trust with regard to confidential and sensitive information.
