Job Description

Corporate Planning Officer Job Description: • Coordinate with Management & Investments Committee on a regular basis to discuss and facilitate the development of an overall strategy for QIMC; • Coordinate with all other departments/units to collect and assemble date for strategic development; • Study and analyze the effects of external and internal factors on QIMC’s position and coordinate with Market Research Unit to obtain information on industry trends and developments; • Assist in the formulation of an annual business plan in-line with the overall strategy and in the development of policies and procedures for the Corporate Planning & Investments Unit; • Coordinate with Finance Unit to set overall capital budget in-line with QIMC’s strategy; • Update on a regular basis the QIMC’s strategy, policies and procedures and business plan in line with current changes in the operating markets and leading practices; • Develop priorities for strategic initiatives to implement strategies and to achieve set goals and objectives; • Develop capital structures to determine cost of capital for appraisals and develop Funding strategy; • Ensure corporate programs are developed to support implementing strategic initiatives; • Review synergies through backward and forward integration considering related entities’ businesses as well as divestures and re-structuring assessments; • Develop forecasts and return estimates for established companies; • Develop and manage enterprise critical success factors and KPIs in line with Board approved strategy, objectives, and balanced score cards; • Develop portfolio goals in line with QIMC approved strategy and plan future direction of the portfolio; • In cases where the investment related entity is not a new company, as in cases of acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestures, ensure the development of set plans and strategies for the same; • Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors on all Audit assignments within QIMC; and • Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information Qualifications: MBA, Professional Certification PMP, B.com Business Administration or Economics from a recognized university Key Skills:- • Initiative, ability to work independently, set priorities and perform under pressure with accuracy and dedication; • Ability to establish positive working relationships at various levels, internally and externally; • Excellent analytical, drafting and problem solving skills; • Experience and ability to coordinate multi-dimensional projects; • Excellent interpersonal skills; • Strong client orientation and excellent organizational and follow-up skills; • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
