English Subtitling & Captioning Freelancers

Sferastudios, a cloud-based technology and media services firm based out of Los Angeles, California, is looking to immediately hire English Subtitling & Captioning Freelancers. Our international clientele includes major studios located in Hollywood and in London. The freelance position entails creating subtitles in English for varied video content (TV shows, feature films and documentaries) for the entertainment industry. You will be trained on how to use Sfera’s online subtitling tools as soon as you join our network. Basic skills needed: Excellent command over the English language Good typing speed Good researching skills (for cultural references, slang terms, idioms etc.) Comfort with North-American, British and other foreign accents Additional requirements: Keen interest in English feature films and television shows Ability to work within deadlines Ability to take ownership of your work Technical requirements: A laptop or PC A good Internet speed (4mbps and above) Latest Firefox or Chrome browsers installed Preferably looking for candidates with the following background/s: Communicative English graduates, English journalism graduates, English content writers and editors and English Language teachers or tutors.
