Role Summary / Purpose: This position is primarily responsible for developing new technology to meet the needs of our customers as well as internal technical strategies by performing the following duties.

Manage all New Developments related activities of the company

Essential Responsibilities:

The applicant will involve in end to end Research and Development of designing of Air Pre – Heater (APH) parts, and be able to carry out basic calculations to support the design decisions The New Developments Engineer is responsible for all New Developments projects related to mechanical design and provides support for other engineering discipline. Refine product & process for improving efficiency. Creation of designs and proposals for the new product development or improve efficiency of the existing product, service or process according to the requirements and specifications To assist in the New Developments design, and draw up new equipment according to the specifications and input from others in the team Apply various New Developments Measures to gather necessary and useful information on ways to improve the company’s product range and manufacturing methods To liaise with the project managers to allow smooth integration of new equipment to test Participate in benchmarking and test competitive products to gain relevant information that can be applied to product specifications. Gather any legal documents, including laws, regulations and patents, that are necessary for determining the project’s feasibility.

Qualifications / Requirements: Experience : 15 years & above Education : B.E (Mechanical) , M.E (Mechanical) , Phd – Preferred Industrial Type : Manufacturing / Industrial/ Production/ Machinery/ Energy Sector / ESP / APH / Boiler Companies.. Function Area : New Developments / R & D

Skills Required:

The applicant should excellent working working in 3D CAD (preferably Inventor), FEM, CFD, Metallurgy Posses excellent Skill in product mechanical design & development, CAD ( Solid work,Pro/E, CATIA), knowledge in the development cycles & process. Analytic and creative thinking, flexibility, communicability; Should be a team player and have the ability to work well unsupervised, manage their time effectively and be self motivated Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and its practical applications Fluency in English & Tamil. Focus on achieving the target. Ability to store and record information accurately. Attitude to learn. Good Academic background with track record Good written and oral communication skills. Good computer related skills. Good social and interpersonal skills Experience in ERP is preferable.
