Design Engineer- Mechanical

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Design machine and machine element as per international standard e.g. API, ASME, ATM, AWS, NFPA, AISI, Bs etc. and as per QA procedure of the company. 2. Generate concept designs; identify problems& solutions and delivering detailed designs. 3. Support prototype, product testing, product design timing plans& ongoing production needs. 4. Design calculations necessary to ensure the performance of the product& verify the design by FEA (Finite Element Analysis) wherever applicable. 5. Produce 2D & 3D models for production with the assistance of the subordinates within the specified time agreed upfront with Senior Engineer& Managers. 6. Prepare as built drawing with the assistance of the subordinate on completion of a project and rectify original drawing and design. 7. Get design approval from third party design certification company by submitting FEA (Finite Element Analysis) design data wherever applicable for the machine and machine element as per international standard e.g. AISI, API, ASME, ASTM, AWS, NFPA, BS etc. 8. Maintain confidentiality of the design and drawings. Information on design, copies of drawing must not be given to anyone including SOP and MSE personnel unless authorized by the General Manager& Senior Engineer. 9. Utilization of time. 10. Maintain company’s Archive for drawings, photos and Master data for produced products& projects for fast access to hard and soft copies. 11. Inspect daily products under manufacturing check the products getting manufactured are as per drawings and specifications. 12. Assist Senior Engineer in delivering of their responsibilities. 13. Continual improvement& implementation of the quality management system ISO 9001:2000 Academic Qualification/ Knowledge
