THE ROLE- Responsibilities and Duties
The role of the Business Development Executive will focus on developing business opportunities with Creative agencies, PR agencies, marketing, and clients direct for primarily B2B & B2C campaigns.
You will be someone with a desire to join a fast growing company where you can make a tangible and lasting difference. The ideal candidate will have experience in selling to Ad and Brand agencies, prospecting for new clients, cold calling, brand advertising, response advertising and using other means to generate interest with potential clients.
You will have knowledge of the digital creation and advertising market and willingness to gain a solid understanding of our product offering as well as that of our competitors and delivering our USPs to our advantage.
Developing and maintaining a good rapport with clients is critical to ensure recurring business. You will have driven, tenacity, a consultative sales approach and proven ability to close deals with agencies and B2B.
We are looking for a self-starting “entrepreneurial” professional, capable of establishing a solid base of sales operation. We expect you to bring technical sales experience in selling creative services across multiple sectors. You will communicate and troubleshoot at all levels and liaise with clients advising them on the creative solutions to achieve their needs. Essentially, you will drive development activity across the accounts and immerse yourself in the creative world – pushing the boundaries and integrating innovation to achieve the commercial potential for clients.
You will work closely with the Creative Director and the CEO to drive new business across target organizations from a digital strategy, creative, design, and production perspective. We are a “network and relationship” based business and aspire to be Partners, rather than suppliers, with our clients, as such we open the brief and create bespoke solutions to achieve their target strategies.
The successful candidate will come from a creative sales background, possess strong experience in building client relationships and developing new accounts and have an enviable network of industry contacts.
To manage and maintain a pipeline of pitches and opportunities and accurately forecast revenue potential. Conducting research on different sales opportunities including (but not limited to) agencies, corporations, brands, online retailers, SMEs, etc.
Preparing materials (presentations, outlines, proposals) in Keynote, PowerPoint, Pages, Word and more (for internal and pitch meetings).
Minimum 1 years’ experience of successful business development or digital sales in an agency environment.
Demonstrable commercial experience of growing revenues and forecasting revenue potential
Proven experience in influencing at a senior level and of developing excellent working relationships
Proven experience in identifying and responding to pitches, potential tenders and requests for proposals
Client facing, with the ability to translate complex client requirements into realistic and achievable deliverables for the creative and technical team to execute on.
Commercial flair and ability to close business achieving sales targets.
Awareness of the entire life cycle of the Video & Ads Filmmaking process
Excellent and authentic presentation, communication and negotiation skills, with experience of liaising with clients at a senior level
Consultative Sales approach
Ability to move effectively between strategy and implementation
A natural ability to close sales via own generated leads and supplied leads.
Excellent written communication skills, with experience in proposal creation.
Excellent attention to detail, with a creative, proactive and analytical approach.
Excellent online, written & oral communication, Good energy and desire to be successful,
