Data Scientist / Data Science / Machine Learning

Education: BE, BTech, MTech or MS 
Experience: 3 - 8 yrs 
Location: Chennai 

JOB PURPOSE: 

As a Data Scientist, you will work on data analytics and machine learning problems across a variety of industries. Work with the Clients to identify/define business problems, clean & analyze data, devise and implement models to find solutions. You will collaborate and work with a team of scientists, analysts and engineers to put your models into solution. 

KEY ACTIVITIES:

Expert proficiency in R or Python. 
Demonstrate high level analytic, quantitative and programming skills.
Experienced in new modeling and machine learning approaches. 
Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, data mining and text mining.
Ability to work independently to get an idea from inception to implementation.
Strong story-telling & articulation skills.
Adequate presentation and communication skills to explain results and methodologies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Exposure to Big Data platforms like Hadoop and its eco-system (Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Mahout) would be nice to have.
