Job Description

Responsible for devising content delivery strategy including running RFP process, evaluating, testing CDN providers and selecting best suited for the business Manage multi CDN setup by forecasting usage based on current trends and future markets in which Lebara Play will be launched and committing quota with individual CDNs based on their regional performance Monitoring and maintaining end-to-end content delivery workflows, and content delivery systems Managing network infrastructure including Switches, routers, ASA firewalls Compiling and publishing regular reports on content usage, system performance, uptime and other metrics for both internal and external audiences. Create views, scripts, wiki pages or other operational aids for support personnel. Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for content delivery workflows and troubleshooting. Serve as primary point of contact for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving CDN issues affecting mission-critical production customer traffic. Create and document system processes and tasks related to monitoring CDN and perform daily administration tasks for optimal performance. Provide notifications to teams within business in the event of CDN issues. React and participate in the resolving of any incidents, preventing a negative customer experience and provide support to the SOC engineers during reactive Incident and problem management situations. Tasks document application communication flows, assess weak points in system call flows, and provide recommendations into the design. Perform proactive routine data gathering and identified configuration tasks. Strong relationship building to participate in the resolution of on-going service interruptions by liaising with CDN providers. Provide analysis and troubleshooting of Video Quality incidents within the CDN (Content Delivery Network) layer. Participate in proactive operational initiatives for the Technologies you are responsible for within the OTT Service. Eg. Performance Analysis and Trending Support Disaster Recovery and contingency tests for all Network platforms Demonstrate the ability in being the "go to" person for all Technical issues related to Network infrastructure, CDN Platform and Service Responsibilities To update support documentation to reflect changes in a timely manner to ensure that team knowledge is captured and retained. To liaise with internal and external customers to ensure that we are providing the best possible service for them. To be a positive contributor for achieving service level standards and to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Ability to adjust in a fast pace ever changing environment Key Skills Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Engineering 5 years of network operations experience preferably with a CDN provider.
