Job Description

Description: PurpleRain seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in Sales & Marketing efforts. This position is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of business. The Sales and Marketing Executive will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the sales and marketing team while learning valuable skills related to sales and marketing for a tech company.

This position is an exciting ground-floor opportunity for the right person contributing to a very exciting field.

The Team Member will be exposed to sales and marketing:

  • Campaign design and execution
  • Strategy development
  • Demand generation
  • Opportunities to be creative grow professionally and learn

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with designing and executing sales and marketing campaigns
  • Research the Internet for new leads and develop prospect lists
  • Maintain and update business contact information via the customer relationship management ("CRM") system, Zoho
  • Discuss client requirements over email
  • Build new leads through web research
  • Develop, write and edit collateral, including sales proposals, website postings, email newsletters, and press releases
  • Assist with tradeshow planning and creating related materials
  • Assist with developing trade media and PR plans
  • Support the development of new and innovative marketing collateral
  • Attend meetings with team members to learn and understand the business & projects
  • Conduct market research, as needed
  • Take on additional duties and responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate, or graduate student, with a degree in Marketing/Communications/Business Management
  • Strong academic career, evidenced by rigorous curriculum
  • Excellent Communication Skills both Verbal and written
  • Ability to perform Internet research
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Attention to detail and Tech Savvy
  • Self-motivated, independent, quick learner
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
  • Desire to learn new concepts and work on new projects

Considered a Plus:

  • Familiarity with ZOHO CRM platform
  • Previous marketing and sales experience
  • Technical experience or curriculum (i.e., information technology or Management)
